Speaking about her experiences in film, the star of Titanic and numerous other films said that women should celebrate “being a real [body] shape” after she was told to sit up straighter on set to avoid showing her belly rolls.

She said women should celebrate “being a real shape, being soft and maybe having a few extra rolls”.

“We’re so used to perhaps not necessarily seeing that and enjoying it. The instinct weirdly is to see it and criticise it,” she said. “It’s interesting how much people do like labels for women.”

“Life is too short,” she added. “I don’t want to look back and go ‘why did I worry about that thing’ and so guess what – I don’t worry anymore.”

Winslet was asked if she minded looking “less-than-perfect” on screen, to which she replied: “The opposite. I take pride in it because it is my life on my face, and that matters. It wouldn’t occur to me to cover that up.”

“I’m more comfortable in myself as each year passes. It enables me to allow the opinions of others to evaporate,” she added.

A few years ago whilst channel hopping I came across a film called “The Golden Compass” which I had never heard of before and watched a few moments of before hopping off to find something more my taste. The film had some fairly big name actors in at the time, including Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman and Sir Ian McKellen.

Imagine my surprise recently to come across some pictures of a very attractive and rather well-endowed woman with a slightly familiar look to her face, only to find it was that gawky looking girl from The Golden Compass, Dakota Blue Richards, but all grown up.

Dakota’s career path has moved away from Hollywood films and more towards British television and other projects.

That plain but slightly odd and forgettable looking young girl was only 12 or 13 when she did that film but just look at her now. Seriously is a case of when a little girl grows up to be a very big girl! Absolutely gorgeous.

Susanna, who is unbelievably 50 years old, wore the pink silk outfit, which prompted many wags on social media to claim she had not had time to get dressed that morning after being out on the razz all night before presenting the Good Morning Britain (GMB) programme.

Susanna hit back on Instagram with a post that said: ‘I just want to point out, I did get dressed this morning. I haven’t come in my dressing gown.’

After fellow GMB host Kate Garraway scaled back her involvement with the programme to help her husband recover from Covid-19 this leaves Susanna as the best thing on early morning television to bring a male round in a hurry.

In the process, it made five previously unknown girls – Victoria Adams (Posh), Melanie Brown (Scary), Emma Bunton (Baby), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty) and Geraldine ‘Geri’ Halliwell (Ginger) – into global superstars for a time.

I remember the seeing the video for the first time and the first thing that caught my eyes was Melanie Brown’s pokies. Not because I thought she was attractive, no. Because they were so obvious.

Really. And that was it. Other than that, in my eyes, it was typical pop pap, gone in five minutes.

Only they went on to become global superstars and had a movie to boot. It was bloody awful.

However, one of them caught my eye. That would be Ginger Spice, aka Geri Halliwell.

Now I know what you’re thinking – what about Posh Spice, or even Baby Spice? Not for me, thanks. It’s all about the boobs.

Time moves on and some of them got married and had babies. Victoria Adams became Victoria Beckham (Posh and Becks), Melanie Brown had her fling with Eddie Murphy, and my beloved Geri went and married Christian Horner, the team boss at the Red Bull F1 team. Lucky bastard.

Now Posh Spice looks like Plastic Spice, Baby Spice looks like Old Spice, Sporty Spice looks decidedly unsporty, and Ginger Spice is no longer ginger but still as sexy as anything.

Oh, and in the photo gallery below you will see evidence that – if you weren’t already aware (!) – that Ginger Spice does not have matching collars and cuffs!

The daytime programme that Holly co-presents is aimed, it seems, at middle-aged women who are look after domestic chores at home whilst their man is out at work – to use the vastly outdated stereotype that the programme seems to be based on. So it features many items on things they think such an audience should be interested in, and as part of that Holly dresses based on trends for the audience. However, here we have a stunningly beautiful woman who is frequently asked to wear some of the most hideous “granny” clothing. Stuff that looked old and shabby in the 1950’s let alone today. Yeuck.

All this is far away from the type of clothing Holly wears when presenting and attending award shows where she has been criticised for showing too much. Impossible I say!

Every now and then Holly gets to show what is within her, style-wise, when she gets to wear some more daring clothing. When you’ve seen someone gorgeous dressed as a frump for so long it is amazing and refreshing and I’ve discovered that she has some of the best legs I’ve ever seen, as well as a tremendous MILF rack!
